Our Story
A Summer Legacy
When asked about his time growing up, Randy Frey always seems to remember his summers spent at the Surf Club. As an adult, he looks back and recalls the safe environment, where kids could swim and play for hours.
Since it’s opening in 1959, the Surf Club has been a family owned and operated establishment. Each family has been committed to keeping the Surf Club a place where families can come to enjoy the hot summer days.
Randy Frey’s family is no different. Randy and his wife Suzi purchased the Surf Club in order to carry on the legacy of safe, family-friendly, fun. He and his family have made it their mission to make the Decatur Surf Club an unforgettable summer experience. They aim for the Decatur Surf Club to be a summer destination that values its patrons and the community as a whole.
